A Park Designed Around People
At the heart of King Hamad Park is a belief that great public spaces serve everyone. The park features over 1,100 mature Ghaf trees, elevated tracks, scenic trails, a pump track, cycle paths, and an air-conditioned walkway stretching approximately 700 metres. Open lawns, yoga and meditation decks, and dedicated fitness zones for People of Determination and senior visitors ensure the space is genuinely inclusive.
Vibrant play areas for children sit alongside a café with a cooled outdoor terrace, food trucks, and water fountains placed throughout the park — the complete picture of a community space designed around how people actually want to spend time outdoors.
Gebal Group’s Contribution
Gebal Group delivered play and recreation infrastructure across the park, including playground equipment, outdoor fitness stations, shade structures over key activity zones, and street furniture and seating throughout the park’s pathways and gathering areas.
Every element was specified for the Abu Dhabi climate: UV-stable materials, corrosion-resistant fixings, and structures designed to remain comfortable during the summer months when ambient temperatures regularly exceed 40°C.

King Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifa Park is built to serve Abu Dhabi’s community for generations. All play and fitness equipment is certified to
EN 1176 European playground safety standards, and Gebal Group’s aftercare programme ensures all installed equipment is maintained under a scheduled inspection regime — safety audits, structural checks, and responsive maintenance — so the park performs at opening-day standard year after year.
